The deaths of Lily and James Potter. Voldemort’s rise to power.
Wizards and witches break off the mainstream in fear and move to the underground to form the gypsy clans, a race of magical people that learned to perform magic in many ways both with and without a wand.

The final battle of Hogwarts raged on, heroes falling all over the place. A stray curse sent in Nymphadora Tonks’ direction - the perked ears of a devoted and loving husband. Remus Lupin dived between his wife and the curse, hit on impact, and fell - lifelessly - to the ground. A screaming Tonks sent another curse in the direction of her husband’s killer, who too, fell dead. The wife of the murderer screamed and dropped to her husband’s side. Another curse - quick as lightning - hit her back and she fell beside him as well.
Miles away from Hogwarts, a teenage boy of sixteen paced his house, waiting the arrival of his parents. By morning, he was shaking and sobbing on the living room floor - the hand of an ex-Death Eater on his back in a comforting way. By evening, the house was empty and the boy was walking down the street with a trunk of clothes and books, a broom and a sack of galleons to his name.
The gypsies remain underground, used to their new ways and slowly increasing in population.

A train of well planned murders began. The highest and most anticipated news in the Daily Prophet. The first murder had begun with Draco Malfoy. He’d been on his way to work when his mangers report that he “Never came in. Even after we owled him.” Days later, his body was found - the mark of Voldemort [formerly as ‘He who must not be named’] carved into the man’s hand. Everything had gone uneasy, but when it happened again a week later, people began to worry. Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy found dead in their king size bed with Voldemort’s symbol etched into their right hands.
The death of Ron and Hermione Weasley and the Weasley children greatly disturbed everyone. Friends and family mourned and it did not go on forgotten.
The Wizarding World held its breath.

One by one, people that had fought against the Dark Lord in the battle of Hogwarts were murdered. Kingsley Shacklebolt, Luna Lovegood, Gabrielle Delacour, Fleur Delacour, Bill Weasley - each one holding the same marking as the last. The mark of the fallen Dark Lord. It was when one Harry Potter came home to find his wife and children [excluding Teddy Lupin] murdered that hell broke loose once more.
Potter went on a search for their murderer. All the while, a twenty-four year old man sat back in the life of luxury, sipped his fire whiskey and sneered and reached with either hand to stroke the heads of a cobra and puma.
It was the ending to the tale in some ways. The day they found Harry Potter, dead and sprawled in the muggle streets - the Dark Mark hanging, ever mockingly in the sky, was the day that the wizarding world said good-bye to peaceful living, for a new Dark Lord had arrived, and with him, he brought a power and fearless manner that not even Voldemort could comprehend.

The news of a new Dark Lord spread fast. No one but his loyalists knew his true identity and few dared to speak of it. As his influence spread, the vampire and werewolf worlds split down the middle.
Two wolf packs and two covens were created. The Whitewolf lycan pack, and the Canem Lamia vampire coven gave their loyalty to the Order, hoping to see the return of a peaceful world. The Bloodwolf lycans and the ancient Tiberium coven vampires stood behind the Dark Lord in hopes of a muggle free world - away from the people that tried to hunt them and told stories of them all being monsters with no ounce of humanity.
Even the Gypsy world was drawn into the chaos. The Dark Lord sent one of his most trusted to make a treaty of sorts with the Gypsy King. The King obliged and gave his loyalties to the Dark Lord, but after a rogue vampire began to threaten their clan, the tables turned. Vicktor Logan bought the loyalty of the gypsy clan, promising protection from the vampire and its henchmen. Leaving the renegade gypsies outside the clan to choose a side, or to stand back and watch.
The battle raged on. Vicktor Logan, inheriting the Order of the Phoenix, pressed his army onward and gained members by the handful. Benedict Addison continued to train his army, gaining just as many soldiers and supporters as time raged on. The tension built and finally snapped in the great battle of Hogwarts, where Viktor Logan lost his life thwarting Benedict's attempts to seize power.

After Viktor Logan's death, his role was reluctantly filled by his bereaved girlfriend, Ambrosine Mayfair. Once his student at Hogwarts, Ambrosine's fresh, youthful beauty caused most to underestimate her capabilities. But behind the blue eyes and blonde curls lay a fierce heart, and she steeled herself against her sorrow to carry Logan's child, and his legacy, by taking up leadership of the Order of the Phoenix, as its first ever female head.
Benedict, after the crushing defeat at the Battle of Hogwarts, went off the radar for a long while. Many thought him gone, or even killed in the chaos of the battle, but soon ripples were felt across the Underground once more as whispers of a new uprising were heard. Whispers that grew into murmurs, and then screams, as the rise in Death Eater activity gave promise that Benedict was far from dead. Media panic ensued, with the Ministry on full alert to find the man before he could attack. But nobody knew where to look. Benedict Addisson was a ghost.
Until now.
On one, unsuspecting spring evening, the Order recieved a tip off that the Dark Lord was planning an attack. By the time their forces mobilised, it was too late. The Dark Lord's forces hit Westminster, in Muggle London, in a devastating attack that shook both Wizarding and Muggle worlds to the core. The streets were slathered with blood, buildings destroyed and the Thames set aflame in the wake of Benedict's wrath. Thousands died, and it wasn't until later that the Order came to realise that simultaneous attacks had been made at key targets all over the Wizarding world. The Ministry buildings, Azkaban Prison, Hogwarts school, and many more.
With the divided number of locations, and the sheer scale of the force Benedict had gathered, the forces of the Light were utterly outnumbered. The Ministry forces and the Order never stood a chance.
Now the Wizarding world is in chaos, its defences ravaged and those loyal to the Order are forced to hide for their own safety. Although the Dark Lord himself has gone suspiciously quiet- suspected to have gone abroad to secure his footholds there- his forces in Britain are unrelenting, and his takeover continues under the command of James Mason, his senior General. Teachers at Hogwarts, workers at the Ministry, disappear mysteriously and are replaced. The newspapers are censored, with those who are vocal against the Dark Lord disappearing without a trace.
Fear is thick on the streets, and people are turning to desperate measures for security, in the most unlikely of places. Rift City, the main artery for the Black Market since Knockturn became unsafe, once a city of scum and degenerate life, is now considered to be one of the safest places to be, for protection against Benedict's wrath. For the city is the home of the Death Dealers, an elite vampire organisation led by the notorious Jack Sullivan, who is known to give his alliance to no man.
The world has turned on its head. What once was safe is safe no longer, and what once was right is now questioned. Be careful what you wish for, and be cautious who you speak to, because loyalties are hidden and the Dark Lord's ear is sharp. Consider your friends carefully, and examine your enemies.
