Name: Romulus Cavay
Age: 2793 Born May 779bc Physical body: late 30’s to early 40’s
Species: Wolf Demon
Information:
-Small History- Born 779 bc to Rhea Silvia, twins Romulus and Remus begun their lives without ever meeting Rhea, instead were cast to the river Tiber. Calmed by their grandmother, the river left them safe to shore where they were found by a lone she-wolf. Smelling the wolf in their blood she took them and suckled them, before they were found and raised by the shepherd Faustulus and his wife Acca Larentia. They grew to be tall, stronger than their father, faster than the hounds, remaining dutiful to their human family- as well as their wolf mother, leaving once a month to run with her. They became shepherds as their adoptive father was, till Remus was taken prisoner after a quarrel with the king’s soldiers. Leading a small party Romulus rescued his brother and in the process killed King Amulius the uncle to their mother.
The crown was offered to the Twins but both declined for their own reasons, instead reinstating Nimitor (the grandfather) as king - their reason would come back to burn them. They left Alba Longa and their farm seeking to found their own city, and each set out to find the best locale. The brothers quarrelled over the location of the foundation of their new city; Romulus wished to start the city on the Palatine Hill, while Remus wished to found it on the Aventine Hill. In order to settle their disagreement, they agreed to consult augury. Each brother prepared a sacred space on their respective hills and began to watch for birds. Remus claimed to have seen six birds, while Romulus said he saw twelve birds. Romulus asserted that he was the clear winner by six birds, but Remus argued that since he saw his six birds first, he had won. The brothers remained at a standstill and continued to quarrel until Romulus in his anger begun to build walls around his hill: the Palatine Hill.
In response to Romulus' construction, Remus criticized the wall and his brother's city. Unknown to Remus, Romulus had discovered the reason Remus had turned down the crown was the same as his own- They’d promised their lover that he would build a city for her and their family, the woman in question was the same woman. Enraged by his brothers mockery and betrayal he demanded that Remus not cross his walls and never see her again. Remus jump over Romulus' wall despite warnings, and Romulus killed him. On that same day of April 21st, he named his land Rome.
Rome was populated supplied by fugitives, criminals and other cast offs. As a result of the low ratio of women to men, the new Roman men decided to abduct women from neighbouring cities. They invited them to festivals and while the men of these cities were distracted, the Roman men carried off their women into Rome. Many of these women were persuaded to marry; however, in response to this rape or abduction of women, the Sabine and Latin men went to war against Rome. Romulus was winner of this war and his victory was Rome's first triumph. Although defeated the Sabine king Tatius attempted to assault Rome. The Sabines battled the Romans and almost lost until Romulus prayed to the gods for help. It wasn’t the gods that answered but a man who claimed to be his father. Despite his disbelief Romulus accepted the man’s promise to turn his men into an army greater than what they were. In the night the man slipped from home to home and turned them all into wolves who then attacked the slumbering army- aiding the Romans to a final victory. Romulus disappeared from history in 717 BCE at the age of 62.
Now believing the man who claimed to be his father he left with him only to find his brother and a crown waiting for them both. They had fully become the firstborn sons of Gabriel Cavay, second and third of the species. It was there that they both began to study; Romulus focused his skills to knowledge of military, warfare, machinery, combat, and strategy while Remus remained close to his father and learned from him the skills of diplomacy, rule, magic, and commerce- before he turned his sights to the sea and left for the trade routes.
----fast forward----
Romulus was sent to a young Stefan to offer the deal- a crown for the family who had him. Much to his regret the young vampire took the deal and it was Romulus who was saddled with the grisly ordeal. He took a small party of men to the home of his sister and with the information he had been given- erased what he thought was the entirety of his sister's betrayal only to find out too late that he had missed a few of them. Still grieving from his sister, he refused a chance to return and instead handed the job to the newest wolf-prince; Stefan.
Now he has parted from his father, using the cover of a task to keep him far from home until Gabriel has realized his own betrayal.
-Strengths- Age has gifted him very fine control over his senses and other form, heightened senses, immense strength, speed, and agility. Despite the easygoing attitude he’s developed from the lack of anything stimulating- he’s still very much the extremely intelligent and well disciplined fighter and general to Gabriel’s wolves. At 6’7” he already looks intimidating, but despite that he’s just as silver tongued as his father could be. he has a knack for ‘charming’ people to listen to him, and weaseling out of tight spots.
-Weaknesses- Due to age; advanced weakness to silver, wolfsbane, holy objects, and other blessed relics. His anger, while not instantaneous it is still a major flaw for him- something he hasn’t faced in his long years. While adept at his magic, both wandless and demonic- he has a preference not to use it, rather he’d keep with his fists and weapons.
LIKES: Booze, Babes, Brawls, and Blood.
DISLIKES: Being bored, disapparating/apparating, the disco years, and visiting Rome now.
