A multi-genre RPG that includes the roleplay of humans, Faery, elves, wolves, cats and much more! Come on down, but first, read this nifty little advertisement.
The October Country is a place that exists outside of any dimension you know. It is the land of eternal autumn, the temple of Indian Summer. For many, it is a life after death. For some, it is a new home.
It was created by the Goddess Adrasteia, the Nemesis, a Goddess of war, sexuality and retribution. She sensed that the time of Gods was coming to an end on Earth, and began the creation of her own special place, where the color of blood and love was everywhere. Autumn represents the time before winter; a season of last resorts, nightmares and unfounded courage. As time passed, the humans took more and more control of the earth, and the October Country became a refuge for the forgotten and feared. Gods with dwindling powers came here to rest at first, followed by the elves and preceded by fallen angels. Then the Sidhe, the Court Faery, soon followed, pushed out by the toxic iron of a burgeoning human world, and Adrasteia let them all in with the understanding that they were all subject to her.
The humans and animals were a later addition. Adrasteia does not discuss her business dealings with anyone but her most trusted allies, but the longstanding rumor is that this was a sort of secondary limbo for the humans, wolves and cats of the world. Those that lived or died violently were sent to this place, it was said, to rehabilitate. It was said that when they were rehabilitated, they were taken from the October Country and reincarnated onto Earth for one last chance...
"... that country where it is always turning late in the year. That country where the hills are fog and the rivers are mist, where noons go quickly, dusks and twilights linger, and midnights stay. That country composed in the main of cellars, sub-cellars, coal bins, closets, attics, and pantries faced away from the sun. That country whose people are autumn people, thinking only autumn thoughts. Whose people passing at night on the empty walks sound like rain...." -Ray Bradbury
This is the October Country. Dangerous, dark, scary... but here you may find a you that you never knew existed
