Hello all on Red Sky Morning!
My name is Jennie and I would like to share with you my site, Ettoufer Academy of Magic! We are one of many Harry Potter based RPG online today, but I would like to tell you a bit about it to show how we are different.
Ettoufer Academy of Magic is like Hogwarts in a sense that it is a school for witches and wizards of the magical world, yet Ettoufer is a magical school for America. It is located on a large island in the center of the Bermuda Triangle. Legend has it that a powerful wizard named Blaise Ettoufer summoned all demons who wandered the earth to where the triangle is located today and he conquered them, sending their souls to guard and protect the island he would soon create from unwanted eyes, such as the Muggles. He brought the island up from the depths of the waters and, with a little help from his friends, created a large castle on the island. He soon began to accept students and with a small team of Professors taught the first generation of graduates who became very successful witches and wizards. Now the school has grown and students who attend get the best education possible, life-long friendships, unforgettable adventures, meet magical creatures of all sorts, and become the finest witches and wizards the magical world has ever seen.
We have five houses: Bellator, Dolosus, Gero, Fidelis, and Scientia. We are currently accepting all student positions as well as many Professorships. You may register and post to be sorted to become a student and apply for a Professorship, one of the many shops, or stay a student and have fun working your way up. Students may also apply via PM to the Headmistress (me) for a special power or ability of some sort and, if it a reasonable request, it is most often accepted.
We have many lessons for students to participate in and to help them progress in their years. Students must pass a certain amount of classes to progress in their years, but extra curricular classes may count towards that.
We are currently engaged in a Mystery in which students work together with their house to be the first to solve the who, what, when, where, why, and how of the mystery which can aid in their winning the House Cup as well as gaining many House Points along the way. Now the Mystery is a series of strange events that occur occasionally on the island that the students have to interpret by figuring out whats going on by discussing the happenings with their housemates. The staff and myself coordinate it all and slowly leak out clues and hints to either put them on track or lead them away from the truth of the Mystery. The members find this fun because it gives them more role playing opportunities and a lot of them like the challenge.
