There's a place where the garden can take you
Through the looking glass
Find a way with the plants - they can take you
To your path
Chase away all the funny pain
Down the rabbit hole
And another world awaits behind the little door
What springs to mind when you hear the word Wonderland?
You can go ask Alice
Just why the hatter is mad
Mad tea parties? Sleepy doormice? That curious little blonde girl who discovers this world while following that worrisome White Rabbit?
All are welcome in wonderland
'Till the queen screams off with your head
And life will always get twisted
When you're living it through the looking glass
That Wonderland should never have existed. Transformed by Lewis Carroll into the famous tale we all know today, he unwittingly crushed the memories of a certain Alice Liddell who had been adopted by the Liddell family at the age of seven, her memories of Wonderland believed to be a form of madness.
There's a that cat smiles like
The crescent moon
And the caterpillar that needs a light
On top of his mushroom
But Alice was not always a member of the Liddell family of course. In reality, Alyss Heart was heir to the throne of Wonderland; a world that was never fantasy but a place where all of the characters the "real world" believed to be nothing but fantasy reside. The court of Wonderland under Redd Heart was a terrifying place where you could never speak out of turn, but under Queen Alyss, it's become a place full of gossip, illicit relationships and every scandal in a royal court you could possibly think of.
Next time you see the white rabbit run free
You might not want to follow
Lose your youth, cause beauty is truth
It's just harder to swallow
How long will you survive?
All are welcome in wonderland
'Till the queen screams off with your head
And life will always get twisted
When you're living it through the LOOKING GLASS
