“Seriously, Prongs. Just give it up.” Sirius Black said, as his friend in question failed yet again to secure a date from the redhead that was stalking off after a very public scene. “Oh, you must be kidding.” Remus Lupin spoke, not looking up as he flipped through his book. “Be quiet the both of you.” James Potter finally turned his glance away from Lily Evans’ retreating back. “She likes me, she just hasn’t realised it.” He continued, despite a roll of Sirius’ eyes. “Continue deceiving yourself, James and it just might work,” Remus told him, shutting the book with a soft thud. The last of the Marauders, Peter Pettigrew, said nothing. He was too busy staring at a Slytherin girl who was walking by with Lucius Malfoy. James and Sirius simultaneously made the same rude gesture at the Slytherins who ignored them.
Ah, yes. It was a very normal day at Hogwarts for any student in the past and present. Voldemort was gaining power in both those eras. Gryffindor and Slytherin’s rivalry were going strong. The Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs were as usual in the background. Everything was as per normal. James and Lily would get married, Harry would lose them, Sirius would be sent to Azkaban at the age of twenty two. The Dark Lord would fall and rise again. Right? Not exactly.
In an alternate universe, Voldemort never existed. Salazar Slytherin’s bloodline ended at the Guants. James and Lily got married, Harry didn’t lose them, and Peter never betrayed the Marauders. Everything that should have happened didn’t. In fact, the only thing that remained the same was the house rivalry. Gryffindor verses Slytherin. Potter verses Malfoy. Whatever rivalry went on in the previous generations carried on. But there was no lack of forbidden loves going around.
Whoever you are and wherever you come from, you can be sure that there will always be Beauty In Chaos.

“He thinks he’s so full of it. Merlin, it makes me sick.” Ronald Weasley commented as he watched Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson together. “I think you’re just jealous because he has a girlfriend and you don’t.” Hermione Granger told him, looking up from her parchment to glance at Ron. “I am not jealous. I can get myself a girlfriend if I want to.” The redhead said, still looking at the Slytherin couple. “Right.” Hermione spoke, her tone implying otherwise. Harry Potter sat there, looking at the young man whose aunt all but murdered his godfather. “Hey guys!” Ginny Weasley appeared. Harry’s green eyes moved immediately from Malfoy to Ginny.
Draco was highly tempted to curse Harry Potter from where he was sitting. His father was in Azkaban because of him. He was only half listening to Pansy who was telling him about something she and Daphne Greengrass had done. “Draco! Are you listening at all?” She asked, a pout on her face, just as Daphne appeared together with Goyle and Crabbe. “Yes, Pansy. You managed to jinx that Weasley girl.” Draco replied smoothly.

How did these three eras fit together? By a twist of fate, something or someone brought them all to the future. Their purpose there is yet unknown. Perhaps it was to see how the world got along without The Dark Lord’s meddling. Perhaps everything would go back to normal after a few months. Perhaps it was to test the students?
Would you be someone from the past, finding out about your future loves, your children and grandchildren?
Or maybe you’re someone from the present, thrown into a world that is so strangely familiar?
Perhaps you are from the future, where the strangers have invaded your world and turned it upside down?
