First off, I'd like to explain why only few boards can be seen to guests. Unfortunately, due to some difficulties in the past, it has become necessary to conceal some boards from public view. But once you're accepted and sorted, you're good as gold and you'll be able to see everything.
Everyone please read ALL of the rules. I know everyone hates them, but every site needs them. They're for a reason.

This is a forum based RPG. If you've never played one before, welcome! The basic principle is that you read the site plot, which sets the 'world' for you. Then you choose a character, create it, and step on out into that world by creating a 'thread' with the start of a story. Place your character somewhere, and wait for someone else's character to post on your thread to continue the story. Let the characters interact, and see what happens.
To make a forum based RPG work, there are a few rules that are really important. Here they are below.
- 1. No God-Modding (taking control of someone else's character) unless they have given you permission to do so.
- 2. Once you have signed up, please remember to change your name to your character's FIRST and LAST name.
- 3. Respect staff. We have them for a reason, and no matter what, you need to respect what they do and say at all times. If you truly feel someone on staff is being unfair, you can talk to another staff member - CALMLY - about it. But remember, we’re not paid, and we're here to help the site run smoothly.
- 4. Be realistic. A character can not be perfect, even the Leaders have their flaws. Give them at least a few weaknesses. Believe it or not, you'll actually have a more fun RP experience that way. Let them be weak, let them be flawed. Leave space for development. You'll end up with a better character and more compelling plots.
- 5. A character's past life is part of that character- therefore knowledge of that past is property of the RPer who created it. You can only have your character know things about another character's past if you have had express permission from that RPer to do so.
- 6. This site carries a Mature rating, however we request that potentially triggering threads/posts carry a trigger warning. Be sensitive to other members, and tactful about content. Truly explicit content should be put into a passworded board.
- 7. No Doxxing. Do not give anyone's personal info out. This includes real names, ages, locations, anything. If they want that information out, they can do it themselves. We’d also prefer you didn’t give out anything on the board. If you really trust a person, do it via PM. First names are acceptable to use OOC, but only if the person you’re talking to is fine with it.
- 8. No spamming. Advertisements are welcome in the advertising board. Spammers will be banned.
- 9. Please use the third person for IC posting. Correct spelling and grammar are encouraged for ease of reading.
- 10. HAVE FUN!
Red Sky Morning is a Multi-Fandom roleplay game. It borrows facets from many different books and movies, from many diverse genres, combined with the original ingenuity of the people who roleplay here. It is impossible to apportion all the appropriate credit to the places where it's due, but we make a general acknowledgement of thanks here to all those main contributors, whose work and ideas have added flavour and inspiration to our roleplaying experience here on Red Sky Morning.
In particular, we thank J.K. Rowling, whose Harry Potter works provided the main inspiration for the first conception of the Red Sky Morning world.
Thanks also to:
Stephen King, Jacqueline Carey, Terry Pratchett. Anne Rice
Lucifer, Supernatural, Silent Hill, Underworld, Blade , Walking Dead and many other movie/TV franchises that have inspired plots here.
Proboards for many codes and advertisements.
Wikipedia for a lot of information on special abilities, sports and animals.
And to the RSM family who have ploughed twelve years of incredible creativity into this game. It's been an honour.
